“If Scarlatti’s Gloria offered nothing more than Autumn’s entrancingly sustained paean to a brook’s “silvery foot” freed from the ice (a mellow but muscular-toned countertenor Clint van der Linde) or Spring’s delicately luscious nightingale aria (Moore in a sweet exchange with flutist Stephen Schultz), it would have more than justified music director and conductor Nicholas McGegan’s act of musical resuscitation.”
