Review

"Nic McGegan led the ensemble in a breathtaking performance of one of Handel’s cornerstone works." - Cleveland Classical

"One can only hope that this first time with Apollo’s Fire won’t be McGegan’s last. That and his continued visits to the Cleveland Orchestra all but designate him as northeast Ohio’s principal guest conductor, and we’re grateful for it." - Seen and Heard International

Interview

“I happen to know the first time I conducted it because it was thirty-five years ago this month right here in St. Louis with the St. Louis Symphony. And would you believe it, Lorraine Hunt Lieberson was singing soprano, and she had never sung it either. Since then I think the most I’ve ever done in one year was a dozen. And the only time I haven’t done it was last December. I’m getting to know it now.” - Nic speaking withCleveland Classical, preparing for his Apollo's Fire appearance, and interviewed while still in St. Louis. Read the full story.
