PBO & Cal Performances to Reprise Mark Morris Dance Group's Platée in May 2021

Over the past 30 years, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale, Cal Performances and the Mark Morris Dance Group have teamed up to bring some of the most spectacular productions to life! These organizations join forces to reprise Jean-Philippe Rameau's Platée — for the first time since 2002. After years of planning for the return of this spectacular production, this remarkable fully-staged production will return to Zellerbach Hall in May 2021, led by the inimitable Nicholas McGegan who will return to Philharmonia in his first performances as Music Director Laureate.

Mark Morris has choreographed a work of magical genius and this production will surely be as wild and whimsical as the original, featuring star singers Mathias Vidal, Chantal Santon Jeffery, Jennifer Zetlan, Aaron Sheehan, Philippe-Nicolas Martin, and Douglas Williams.
